DESCRIPTIONS OF EACH ROLE:
Judge/Assistant Head Judge:
The judges will do just that, JUDGE! We will provide the videos for the workout you will be judging as well as written instructions and a “day of” briefing”. All judges will receive a t-shirt for each day they are judging along with a judges swag bag as well as being fed all day. Judges will have the opportunity to be paid $50.00 cash in lieu of their swag bag. You do NOT have to be Level I CrossFit Instructor or higher. We do ask that you be a past or current CrossFitter and/or have a strong understanding of movements and the ability to verbalize a no-rep to the athlete loudly and clearly. WE NEED THESE POSITIONS THE MOST as each day we will need 50 plus judges!
The Floor Leader will be assigned to each floor to line up athletes, ensure they are in the right heat/lane, and walk them onto the floor. The Floor Leader will keep the floor moving in a timely manner and will ensure their floor stays on time. They do not need to know the details of the workout as they will not be expected to answer athlete questions about the workout or judging standards. We will need 4-6 of these positions each day. All floor leaders will be given an official t-shirt and a swag bag as well as being fed all day.
The Scoring Director will be responsible for inputting scores onto a computer. Scoring directors will be asked to bring their own computers/tablets. We will provide all training, power, and wifi. You will be seated the entire time and you will receive a swag bag as well as being fed all day. We will need 4-5 of these positions each day.
Social Media Manager:
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for capturing the event through their phone while logged on to our social media platform. We ask for people with creativity, experience with working as a social media manager, and the understanding of tagging, effects, GIF’s, etc. This position will mainly be using Instagram and FB stories but will need to post photos or videos sporadically throughout the day as well as go live. The Social Media Manager will report to the Director of Social Media and will receive instructions on what/when to post throughout the day. We will need 2-3 of these positions per day. All SMM’s will be given an official t-shirt and a swag bag as well as being fed all day.
Ticket Sale Manager:
The Ticket Sale Manager will be responsible for taking payments for either the spectator tickets or food/beverage sales. We will provide the payment system and wifi. You will be seated most of the day and you will receive a swag bag as well as being fed all day. We will need 2-3 of these positions each day.
Equipment Set Up/Tear Down:
The Equipment Set Up and Tear Down Crew will be needed on Thursday all day or Sunday afternoon when we are done with the event. THIS IS A PAID HOURLY POSITION or a flat day rate. You will be lifting equipment, taking it in and out of a Uhaul, helping with venue set up, rig set up, etc. Thursday will be setting up the event and Sunday afternoon will be tearing down. Thursday hours are approximately 8am to 7pm but all we ask is you give us a 4 hour minimum time block. We pay $15 per hour plus we feed you breakfast, lunch, or dinner if you are with us 4 hours or longer. You will be provided water the entire time.
